The Burbank Town Center Macy's is getting a VIP makeover! The retail giant recently announced that 100 of their stores from across the country will receive comprehensive investments and luxurious upgrades such as personal shoppers as part of its Growth 150 initiative.
From the article:
[Upgrades] include new floors, restrooms and fitting rooms; increased staffing in a variety of roles; a MyStylist personal shopper; an At Your Service desk for in-store pick-up of merchandise purchased online; new departments like mattresses or children's shoes; and more space for departments like men's tailored, fine jewelry or women's shoes.
A Macy's spokeswoman said the company is unable to share the total investment in the new Growth 100 stores, but "Macy’s applied our learnings from the original G50 stores to invest in capital and colleague support more efficiently across the additional 100 stores this year."
The upgrades in those stores will include new LED lighting and updated flooring as well as renovated fitting rooms and restrooms; product offerings unique to each store; and new food and beverage options like quick-service gourmet foods or a coffee bar.
Macy’s operates 863 stores under the nameplates Macy’s, Macy’s Backstage, Bloomingdale’s, Bloomingdale’s Outlet, Bluemercury and Story primarily in the United States.
